Wine in amphora

The illustrations on the label are original works by Maria Battaglia

In 2015, for Sandro’s sixtieth birthday, we treated ourselves to two Tuscan terra cotta amphorae and began experimenting with them. The results were a pleasant surprise to the point that we bought more of them, each with a capacity of 850 litres, and thus began producing amphora wine.

Wine in amphora

Langhe Nascetta Amphorae «Cecilia»

Colour tending from white to straw yellow. Fruity aromas with notes of Mediterranean scrub on the nose.

Wine in amphora

Langhe Barbera Amphorae

Dark, almost impenetrable, ruby red in colour, lively and compelling. The nose expresses the typical personality of the grape variety with a complex, intense bouquet.

Wine in amphora

Langhe Nebbiolo Amphorae

Garnet red in colour. The nose opens out into the scents typical of the grape: hence dried rose petals, violets and damp soil. The result is a wine with a spicy aroma, refined and sugary in the mouth.

Wine in amphora

Dogliani Superiore Pirochetta Amphorae

Purple red in colour with glints of ruby and violet. Deep and vertical on the nose, its fruity aromas combine to create a mouth-filling, well-balanced bouquet.

Organic wines

Our wines are produced with hand-picked grapes without the addition of fermenting yeasts. They are neither filtered nor clarified and the use of sulphur is reduced to a bare minimum.
